Odigo has announced the acquisition of Akio.
Supported by its majority investor Seven2, this move marks a significant step in Odigo’s strategy to enhance how brands engage with their customers.
Akio, a French software vendor specializing in CCaaS solutions for SMEs and mid-market organizations, brings expertise in artificial intelligence applied to Voice of the Customer analysis, reputation management, and agent performance optimization.
Jean-Michel Breul, Co-CEO of Odigo, said: “This acquisition marks a decisive step in the creation of a European leader in the CCaaS and CXaaS market.
Together, we combine innovation, AI-powered customer engagement solutions, technological expertise and proximity to offer our clients comprehensive coverage of the customer experience market – from small businesses to large enterprises.”
The acquisition supports the ongoing consolidation of the European market and reinforces Odigo’s position as a European alternative to larger international competitors.
It also reflects the growing focus on digital sovereignty and control over technological infrastructure within Europe.
With Akio’s inclusion, Odigo can now offer an extended portfolio covering the full spectrum of customer experience needs, from CCaaS platforms for mid-sized contact centres to CXaaS solutions designed for large, global enterprises.
The combined offering brings together AI-driven automation, omnichannel capabilities, and scalable platforms with a continued emphasis on reliability, innovation, and data protection.
Patrick Giudicelli, Founder and President of Akio, commented:
“Joining Odigo means joining a French company that shares our values of customer affinity and sovereignty. It is also an opportunity to elevate our innovations in AI and analytics while contributing to the creation of a European cloud-based customer experience champion.
The complementarity of our offerings, the continued investment in Akio solutions to target the CCaaS market, and our shared vision of a market accelerated by AI will enable us to deliver ever more effective solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.”
Javier Llosa, Co-CEO of Odigo, noted:
“This acquisition opens a new phase of growth for Odigo. By combining our pan-European presence with Akio’s technological expertise and deep understanding of the SME and mid-market segment, we strengthen our ability to serve all segments, from mid-market to large enterprises.
This complementarity will allow us to accelerate the commercialization of our innovations, notably around AI and the new Agentic AI offering, across all our markets. We are firmly focused on the future and on innovation that serves our clients.”
