There has been a bustling start to the new year, with many industry appointments at companies including NewVoiceMedia, KANA Software, Fusion, Intelecom,  and Firstsource and new offices for Unity4.

NewVoiceMedia  appoints two new positions

NewVoiceMedia is strengthening its marketing team with the appointment of Nicola Brookes as Communications and Social Media Manager.

Nicola will be responsible for developing and implementing PR strategies and driving the company’s blog and social media activity. She will report to Chief Marketing Officer Tim Pickard.

Commenting on the new appointment, Tim said, “We are pleased to welcome Nicola on board to manage our PR and social media activity. This is a new role for NewVoiceMedia and we are confident that her skills will prove invaluable as we continue to expand our global offerings and operations”.

Nicola adds, “This is a very exciting opportunity and an excellent time to be joining NewVoiceMedia. I’m really looking forward to working with the team to build on recent successes and momentum”.

Clare-Wenham

NewVoiceMedia has also appointed Clare Wenham to the new position of Product Marketing Manager. Reporting to Strategy Director Bethany Ayers, Clare will define and articulate the go-to-market strategy for NewVoiceMedia’s products, alongside supporting the sales team’s enablement and collateral development. Key to the role is translating technical features and upgrades into benefits and value that are meaningful to customers.

Bethany comments, “Clare’s appointment further reflects NewVoiceMedia’s expansion plans and our commitment to hiring the best people in the industry. Clare’s experience and knowledge of the contact centre industry will allow us to drive forward the next phase of our product marketing strategy more aggressively. She will be a key member of our team”.

KANA Software announces growth and expansion

KANA Software,  a provider of customer service solutions delivered on-premise or in the cloud, announced the continued growth and expansion of its European operations, as well as the appointment of several new executive management posts.

These new appointments help expand the company’s European leadership team. Importantly, all of the recent management appointments are former Ciboodle executives who have been retained by KANA to grow the company’s operations in Europe. These include Kenny Bain, who is now general manager, EMEA; Steven Thurlow, head of worldwide product strategy; Paul White, sales director for EMEA; and Michael Cairns, head of professional services for EMEA.

“Given current economic conditions, it is perhaps more important than ever for organizations to look at how they can improve customer service and customer advocacy efforts and KANA is well positioned to assist them,” said Kenny Bain, general manager, for KANA in EMEA.

The new resources will be devoted to serving KANA’s growing European client base. The company has won significant new business with a number of new customers, including Barclays, Eircom, IFDS and Mobile Money.


Fusion partnership with local school leads to two new appointments

As a result of a partnership with local employer Fusion Contact Services, two students from Ormiston Bushfield Academy have secured full-time employment at Fusion’s Contact Centre in Bretton, Peterborough.

Jonathan Kingston, one of the students who has taken up employment at Fusion, said: “Andrew and I are thrilled to join Fusion. Neither of us wanted to pursue a university education and would rather focus our time and efforts on gaining on-the-job career experience.”


Intelecom appoints new UK Managing Director

Intelecom Group, a provider of hosted contact management technology, has appointed  Klaas van der Leest as UK Managing Director.  He will be responsible for expanding the company in the UK market with a focus on driving new business opportunities for cloud-based contact centres in mid-sized organisations.

Firstsource appoints Senior Strategy Advisor

Firstsource Solutions has appointed Tim Franklin, former Chief Operating Officer of the Co-Operative Banking Group, as a Senior Strategy Advisor.

We are delighted to welcome Tim Franklin to our financial services team in the UK,” commented Iain Regan, Head of Global Sales & Marketing for Firstsource. “Tim has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the financial services sector and he will help us to build on our existing expertise that we have developed through working for our UK banking and financial services clients.”


Unity4 UK announces UK office relocation to Bridgnorth

Unity4, an at-home contact centre outsourcer and technology provider based in Australia, has relocated its UK headquarters to the Old Grammar School, St Leonard’s Close, Bridgnorth. This new location offers room for further expansion for the company, which has already seen rapid growth since establishing its UK operations 12 months ago.

The new location was chosen to support both the current UK Executive and Operations teams, and to allow room for further growth.

Dan Turner, CEO of Unity4 says “This moves comes at a very exciting time for Unity4 and over the past year we have made significant progress in establishing the UK operation as a permanent, rapidly growing division of our business.”
